Hi my name is Edward Nkambule,A.K.A Eternal GRM ,I’m a Singer,Songwriter and Producer based in South Africa, which is just a little play on the fact that I’ve heard so many people compliment my music so much and telling me that “I’m killing it” that i decided to just name myself after The Grim Reaper himself.
Q. What got you into music and made you realize that it was your chosen path?
A. I’ve always had a natural knack for music,it never felt forced and the musical notes always feel like they’re just flowing through my head,I’ve also suffered from depression and psychological problems for many years and making music kind of helps me forget about all of it,I become a diffrent person all together,it’s like therapy.
Q. Tell us about your new music (Song/EP/Mixtape/Album)? And what’s the story behind it?
A. Well the track is called “Don’t let me hold you back” ,its essentially a ballad for my somewhat rocky love life and i guess I’ve just gotten sick of living up to other peoples standards you know…so the track is just me letting go and saying its okay for them to leave if they want to…i won’t hold any grudges against them.
Q. What makes your music unique? How would you describe it? (genres/sub-genres)
A. My music is highly experimental…I haven’t quite figured out my sound yet so I like to explore without borders,I’m not ready to be boxed in just yet,I do anything from Hip-Hop,Rock,R&B to Country…I just create what my heart tells me to create.

Q. Who are your biggest music influences? And any particular artist/band you would like to collaborate with in the future?
A. Kanye West definetly.
Q. How do you balance your music with other obligations – family, friends or work?
A. Thats the funny part…I can’t…I always manage to lack in other areas of my life while I’m trying to build a successful music career and still please everyone but I don’t bother myself to much with all that these days anyway because none of them believe in my craft anyway.
Q. Which is the best moment in your musical career that you’re most proud of? (awards, projects or public performances etc.
I’ll be honest,I haven’t experienced one yet…always been a pretty reclusive person but with me releasing music out to the public now…I’m kinda hoping that it helps me crawl out of my shell a bit more.
Q. What advice would you give to aspiring musicians?
Theres no secret formula, all you have to do is stop procrastinting and face your fears.
Q. If you had one message to give to your fans, what would it be?
A. I appreciate all your support,at the end of the day I’m just another human being like you and everyone else,so for the mere fact that you decided to support my dreams and aspirations means more to me then you’ll ever know…and I hope to build a stronger connection to my fans as i travel this journey and again…Thank You.
Q. What’s next for you? Any upcoming projects?
A. I have a lot of content in store, and a lot of directions I’d like to explore musically…so I say stick around and see…all i can guarantee is that it’s going to be quality over quantity.
But the wait will always be worth it.
