Midlife Crisis – From Software Developer to Music Producer.
My artist name is Manuel Berdon. I live in Israel, and I’m 36 years old. Father for two and working as a software developer.
I’ve build tracks when i was 13-14 year old with Impulse Tracker old program 🙂 now after 22 years later and midlife crisis, I came back to my first love which is trance music.
Q.What got you into music and made you realize that it was your chosen path?
A. When a 13-year-old feel chills all over his body only by listening to music he realizes the bond for the sound is infinite and certain.
Q. Tell us about your new music (Song/EP/Mixtape/Album)? And what’s the story behind it?
A. I’m newbie in music production industry and I only create a few tracks in last year so I put up my skills to the test and I think the outcome is good, but I also know I have a lot of room to improve.
Q.What makes your music unique? How would you describe it? (genres/sub-genres)
A. The brain enjoys music when he can anticipate the next sound and rhythm but sometimes when you break the sequence then the brain gets a “Ta Da” feel. And this is what I’m trying to do.
Q. Who are your biggest music influences? And any particular artist/band you would like to collaborate with in the future?
A. I was influence most from trance music and especially Armin Van Burren. But I also influence from psytrance sounds.
Q. How do you balance your music with other obligations – family, friends or work?
A. This is the deal breaker for me. Now I’m in a point when I want to provide my family in one hand but on the other, I really want to dedicate myself totally to music production. So, I still don’t know the answer to that.
Which is the best moment in your musical career that you’re most proud of?
A. I’m still young in the industry and don’t own any awards. But the best moment is the moment you feel one with your own creation.
Q. What advice would you give to aspiring musicians?
A. Do it from young age and don’t stop!
Q.If you had one message to give to your fans, what would it be?
A. My music is divers and so are my fans. I appreciate the support and harm words I get. This is fuel that help me keep on going and hopefully leave my current job. From a software developer to full time music producer.
Q. What’s next for you? Any upcoming projects?
A. Just wait for next track it’s going to be huge!
