Hello, my artist name is DaCharlie. I am 36 years old and I am from Germany.
“Chill be down“ was created in the fall and was gradually refined by me over the winter. When I brought the vocal and the piano together it was clear and I had the desire that I will bring this project to the end. And despite ups and downs I am happy to have reached this goal to publish the song.
Q. What got you into music and made you realize that it was your chosen path?
A. I’ve been making music since I was 16 years old. Back then I primarily rapped and because it belongs to my identity I kept the artist name until today. From 21, my family came first and music had no active role in the production at this time. My interest (as my Kids and also as well as my free time ;-)) grew over the years again i started a second try. But i wasn`t connected to the Rap genre anymore. I have been more attracted to electro music and the good vibes they are creating and that’s how it all started until today.
Q. Tell us about your new music (Song/EP/Mixtape/Album)? And what’s the story behind it?
A. My song can probably be interpreted as far as the feelings in autumn and winter are always associated with ups and downs and the longing increases day by day.
Q. What makes your music unique? How would you describe it? (genres/sub-genres)
A. I try to combine house and dance. I love the warmth that house music brings and the open-minded honesty that resonates in dance music and try to combine both worlds.
Q. Who are your biggest music influences? And any particular artist/band you would like to collaborate with in the future?
A. There are so many, David Guetta, Swedish House Mafia, DJ Goja. But honestly there are so many good artists out there that it’s almost unfair to pick out some of them. For a collaboration I am currently looking for a female voice. A track that is completely unique is my next big goal.
Q. How long have you been in the music industry?
A. Honestly, I have been dealing with electro for about 1 1/2 years now. Before this time i published not seriously.
Q. Which is the best moment in your musical career that you’re most proud of?
A. When my Kids wanted to hear the first track after I finished it, over and over again. That gave me the motivation to do a deep dive into the matter.
Q. How do you balance your music with other obligations – family, friends or work?
A. Time with family and friends is enormously important. Without them, I probably wouldn’t have the energy to make music. I’ve subordinated my other hobbies to music in the meantime and use the free time that comes my way when and where it appears.
Q. What advice would you give to aspiring musicians?
A. Do what you do with love for what you do. Recognition is always a factor, but making music is always closely connected with pain and joy. But you can only get through the painful phases if you know how to appreciate the joyful ones. These then always give the impetus to continue and to improve.
Q. If you had one message to give to your fans, what would it be?
A. Follow me and I invite you to stay with pleasure 🙂
Q. What’s next for you? Any upcoming projects?
A. I have already started the next project since the current one was not yet ready with the upload. Something will come in any case.
I could say now something like I do not reveal this. But honestly I like to let myself drift in the music whereby so I am surprised at the end then too.
